Porto will be looking to secure their first-ever win over Juventus when the Italian champions visit Portugal in the Champions League Round of 16 on Wednesday.

Juventus have picked up four wins and one draw against Porto in European competition over the years, meaning the Portuguese side head into this tie as the bookmakers’ clear outsiders.

Porto qualified for the Round of 16 with ease, finishing ten points ahead of third-place Olympiacos and three points behind Man City in Group C.

Porto did the double over both Olympiacos and Marseille, as well as securing an impressive draw with Man City on Matchday 5.

Back home, Porto haven’t tasted defeat in the Portuguese top-flight since October, keeping them second in the Primeira Liga standings.

Porto are currently enjoying a 13-match unbeaten streak in the Primeira Liga, although they head into Wednesday’s match on the back of three straight draws.

Last time out, Porto were forced to come from 0-2 down to rescue a draw in the second half against bottom-side Boavista on Saturday.

On the other hand, Juventus finished ahead of Barcelona, Dynamo Kiev and Ferencvaros to top Group G in the previous round.

The Old Lady scored 14 goals while conceding just four during the group stage, picking up five wins and one loss along the way.

However, Andrea Pirlo’s men aren’t having it all their own way in Serie A this season, with a seven-point gap between them and first-place AC Milan.

Juventus have won seven of their last ten league matches, although defeats to Fiorentina, Inter Milan and Napoli in that time have prevented them from moving up the table.

Despite enjoying 63% possession and racking up 24 shots on Saturday, Juventus were beaten 1-0 by Napoli.

Head-to-head: Porto and Juventus have faced each other five times in the past, with Juventus claiming four wins and one draw.

The two sides met in the Champions League Round of 16 back in 2016/17, while the Italians winning 3-0 on aggregate on that occasion.

Team news: Porto will be without centre-back Ivan Marcano, midfielder Otavio and right-back Nanu due to injury.

As for Juventus, Paulo Dybala continues to recover from a long-term injury, while Arthur is also expected to miss Wednesday’s clash.

Porto are expected to push Juventus all the way on Wednesday, yet the Italian giants should be able to edge a narrow victory.

Forebet predicts that Juventus will keep a clean sheet on their way to securing a slender first-leg win over Porto.
