Benfica are in search of their first win of the Champions League season after four defeats in a row leaves them only eyeing up a spot in the Europa League above RB Salzburg when they play hosts to Inter Milan.
It’s been a dreadful Champions League campaign for the Primeira Liga side.

The club have failed to win a single game and will not be able to get into the top two automatic qualification spots, as Real Sociedad and Inter Milan run away with the group.
On the other hand, RB Salzburg are only ahead of them by three points, and with two games left to play, there is still a chance that Benfica end up in the Europa League knockout rounds via finishing third.
All four games ending in a defeat for Benfica also means they have netted just one goal so far and let in seven, as Inter Milan and Real Sociedad both defeated them 1-0 in recent games.
In fact, this now means the club have put together their worst-ever group run in Champions League history.
Things still look healthy for the Primeira Liga side back in Portugal.
They have so far won nine games and lost only one in the league and sit ahead of Sporting Lisbon on goals difference after letting in just nine goals and scoring 23.
They also beat Famalicao in their last outing of the Taca de Portugal over the weekend with a goal from Rafa Silva to now take them into the next round of that competition too.
As for Inter Milan, it's been another excellent season for them so far after getting to the Champions League final last season.
They have so far lost only one game in Serie A and are ahead of Juventus by two points still after drawing 1-1 with them in Turin over the weekend.
Lautaro Martinez scored yet another goal that day, and he now has 13 goals in 13 Serie A games in 2023/24 and is well clear of everyone in the race for the top scorer award.
Inter's only loss this season has been against Sassuolo at home, as they also remain unbeaten in the Champions League with them only dropping points in a draw with Real Sociedad.
