It's the first leg of the Champions League first round of qualifying for the 2023/24 season this week as Farul Constanța of Romania take on Sheriff Tiraspol of Moldova at the Stadionul Central on Wednesday night.
Led by the legendary Romanian Gheorghe Hagi, who also owns the club, Farul head into this upcoming season having stunned Romania with a shock win in the SuperLiga.
It was just their second season back in the top flight of football, having finished sixth the season prior.
The club secured 63 points in the regular season before winning six of the 10 games in the play-off phase and losing only once in this time.
They do, however, come into this one having lost their last chunk of games, including the Supercupa Romaniei final to Sepsi 1-0 last weekend.
Farul were also beaten in a club friendly with Warta Poznan 3-0, while also falling to a 5-0 battering from Banik in another friendly and 2-1 to Pogon Szczecin before that.
Alongside a 3-0 defeat to PAOK of Greece, Farul managed to beat Politehnica Iași 1-0 in another friendly after the season finale.
Back in competitive games, Farul won the final game of the season after beating Sepsi in the SuperLiga play-off game, as Adrian Mazilu and Constantin Grameni scored a goal each.
Elsewhere in the regular season, the club lost just four other games and won 19 of the 30 games by scoring 54 times and letting 28 goals too.
As for Sheriff, they head into this game having not played for the past six weeks, although they did win the Moldovan Cup on penalties after beating FC Balti following on from a 0-0 draw.
Once again, the club won the Moldovan National Division after winning 10 of their 14 games in the regular season.
They then went on to win seven of their 10 matches during the Championship round too, and avoided defeat in all of those matches.
Sheriff have also consistently been playing European football for the past few years and made it to the Europa Conference League round of 16 last campaign.
They did, however, lose to Nice across two legs that day after a 1-0 home loss and a 3-1 defeat in France.
