On Tuesday night, Bayern Munich will be looking to make it three wins out of three in Group C of the Champions League as the German giants welcome Viktoria Plzen to the Allianz Arena.

Despite their relatively underwhelming Bundesliga form of late, Bayern still has a hundred per cent record in the Champions League, having recorded impressive 2-0 wins over Inter and Barcelona.

The victories mean that Bayern has won ten of their previous 13 matches in the Champions League while suffering just one defeat in the process.

The Bavarians have also been highly prolific in front of goal in the competition, scoring at least two goals in nine of their last 12 games in Europe’s elite competition.

Bayern also has a solid recent home record in the Champions League, as they have won five of their previous six matches on home soil in the competition.

The visitor's recent domestic form has been good, and they currently sit atop the Czech Republic's top-flight table. However, a 1-1 draw against Bohemians last time out ended a seven-game winning run in the league for the reigning champions.

Unsurprisingly considering the tough nature of Group C, Viktoria Plzen went into this game with no points after defeats against Barcelona and Inter.

The back-to-back losses ended a positive run of form in the Champions League of six games unbeaten, which Plzen built up during the preliminary rounds.

The group stages are a far different story to the preliminary rounds, though, and the visitors have found it tough against the giants of the European game.
