Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid have enjoyed a decent start to the new campaign overall. However, Diego Simeone’s side has found wins hard to come by in recent games, winning just once in their last five games in all competitions.
Los Rojiblancos head to Moscow to face Lokomotiv on Tuesday night in Group D of the Champions League, as they search for their first European victory of the season.
The visitors opened their Champions League campaign with a 2-2 home draw against Juventus, which was not an awful result considering their opponents. Lokomotiv are not in the same league as the Bianconeri, even if they did record a 2-1 victory at Bayer Leverkusen on gameweek one.

Atletico have a mixed record in the Champions League of late, although they have lost just two of their last 13 games in Europe’s elite competition.
The team from the Spanish capital have been poor on their travels of late in the Champions League, as the visitors have won just once in their last nine away matches in the competition. Simeone’s side has also failed to score in six of their last eight matches on their travels in the Champions League.
Lokomotiv have been in good form of late and surprised many with their win over Bayer on gameweek one. The result will have come as a surprise, as it was only their second Champions League win in nine outings. However, both of the two wins have been in their last three outings.
The Russian side’s recent form on home soil in this competition has not been great, as they have won just once in their last four home games in Europe’s elite competition.
Forebet predicts that Atletico Madrid will improve their away record in this competition by recording a victory in a low-scoring encounter.
