The high-flying Gillingham head to Fratton Park in the Football League Trophy group stages this Tuesday night with the Gills sitting up in third in League Two and proving to be one of the teams to watch this season in the fourth tier.

Pompey are currently unbeaten in League One and the clear favourites to win the third tier. So far, Portsmouth have managed to put together a five-game winning run recently, defeating Peterborough United at the start of this run where Colby Bishop, Abu Kamara and Regan Poole all scored a goal each.

Last weekend, the League One leaders defeated Port Vale 2-0, as Bishop netted another brace with two goals inside five minutes of one another in the second half.
This means the club sits with a record of eight wins from 12 games, four draws and no losses. This has also seen Pompey score 21 goals and let in just eight from these matches - no side has a better defensive record this season.
Gillingham head into this game with a return to the win column, as the club defeated MK Dons 2-1 with yet another goal from Macauley Bonne and a finish from Scott Malone in the second 45.
