Manchester City will be out for revenge when Paris Saint-Germain visit the Etihad Stadium on Matchday 5 of the UEFA Champions League this Wednesday.

The Parisians claimed a 2-0 victory over Man City on home soil back in September, with Lionel Messi scoring a memorable goal to seal the win.

Nevertheless, Pep Guardiola’s men find themselves top of Group A – one point clear of second-place PSG and five points ahead of Club Brugge. RB Leipzig are bottom with just a single point.

Man City have won three of their four Champions League outings this season, hammering Leipzig 6-3 before doing the double over Brugge.

As a result, they have netted a whopping 15 UCL goals this term. Only Bayern Munich have scored more goals than Guardiola’s side in the competition.

When you look at the bigger picture, the Cityzens have lost just two of their previous 17 matches in the Champions League.

Man City head into Wednesday’s clash on the back of an easy 3-0 win over Everton. They sit second in the Premier League table, having lost only two of their 12 domestic games this season.

On the flip side, Paris St. Germain picked up a 3-1 victory over Nantes last time out, with Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi getting on the scoresheet.

The Parisians now find themselves 11 points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table, having lost just one of their 14 league matches this term.

In the Champions League, Mauricio Pochettino’s side have registered two wins and two draws so far – meaning they are undefeated this season.

It is also worth noting that PSG have only lost one of their past six away encounters in the Champions League.

Head-to-head: September’s loss is Man City’s only defeat to PSG. Across the six meetings between the teams, Man City have claimed three wins and two draws.

Let’s not forget that four of the previous five meetings between Man City and PSG have dished up over 1.5 goals.

Team news: Kevin De Bruyne and Ferran Torres are both currently sidelined for Man City. Jack Grealish is also a doubt for Wednesday’s clash.

As for PSG, they could be without as many as seven first-team players for the trip to England. Marquinhos, Sergio Ramos, Julian Draxler and Gianluigi Donnarumma are among the doubts.

Considering that PSG beat Man City in the reverse fixture, Guardiola’s men aren’t likely to have it all their own way on Wednesday.

With that in mind, Forebet predicts that Man City and PSG will play out a tight draw at the Etihad Stadium.
