On Saturday afternoon, Bayer Leverkusen will continue their pursuit of a Champions League spot, as they travel to the German capital to face Union Berlin.
The home sides recent record in the Bundesliga is an inconsistent one. However, their form has been good enough to keep the side from the capital away from the relegation zone.
After a 2-0 win over struggling Werder Bremen last time out in the Bundesliga, the home side are nine points clear of the relegation zone. Union are also nine points off the European spots in the German top-flight.
The win at Werder was only Union Berlin’s second victory in seven league matches.
One positive for Urs Fischer’s side of late is their stellar home form. In fact, Union have won five of their last six outings in the Bundesliga on home soil. The home side has been rock-solid in defence at the Stadion An der Alten Forsterei in the Bundesliga, keeping five clean sheets in their last six home outings, while conceding just two goals in those six games.

Bayer Leverkusen have fired themselves into the battle for the Champions League spots in recent weeks. A dramatic 4-3 win over Dortmund last time out in the German top-flight, saw Peter Bosz’s team move to within two points of fourth-place BVB in the race for the Champions League spots.
The visitors have been prolific of late in the Bundesliga, scoring at least three goals in three of their last four league outings. Striker Kevin Volland has also now scored four goals in as many league outings after a brace against Dortmund.
Leverkusen have been a Jekyll and Hyde team on their travels in the league, winning five and losing four of their last nine away matches.
Forebet predicts that Leverkusen will record a victory in a high-scoring encounter to boost their hopes of moving into the Bundesliga top four.
