The 107th edition of the Coupe de France will conclude on Saturday, with two of the country’s most successful clubs set to lock horns in the final.

Paris Saint-Germain have claimed a record 14 Coupe de France titles over the years, winning six of the previous nine finals.

Only four teams have secured more titles than Lyon’s five, although their last triumph came back in 2012. Can Les Gones overcome Les Parisiens this time around?

The champions finished their Ligue 1 campaign with a 2-0 victory over Metz at the weekend, finishing nine points clear of second-placed Monaco in the final standings.

Following three straight defeats across all competitions, PSG have now won each of their last two matches to set themselves up for another Coupe de France triumph.

Luis Enrique’s side have scored a whopping 20 goals across five Coupe de France matches this season, averaging four goals per game in the competition.

Kylian Mbappe – who has scored eight goals in five Coupe de France outings this term – will have a final opportunity to play for PSG on Saturday after announcing his departure.

Meanwhile, Lyon secured a 2-1 victory over Strasbourg on the final weekend of the Ligue 1 season, snatching sixth place as a result.

Following a dismal start to the campaign, Les Gones have enjoyed an impressive upturn, winning six of their final seven league games to secure a European spot.

In the Coupe de France, Lyon defeated Strasbourg on penalties in the quarter-finals before booking their place in the final with a 3-0 victory over Valenciennes.

Not only have Lyon scored 10 goals in five Coupe de France matches this season (2 goals per game), but they have also kept three clean sheets.

Head-to-head: Across all competitions, PSG have lost just one of their last seven meetings with Lyon, notching five wins along the way.

In the Coupe de France, Les Parisiens have won each of their previous two matches against Les Gones, scoring eight goals in the process (4 goals per game).

Team news: Paris Saint-Germain look set to be without injured trio Lucas Hernandez, Presnel Kimpembe and Sergio Rico for Saturday’s showdown.

On the flip side, Lyon have reported no fresh injury problems ahead of the final, meaning head coach Pierre Sage should be able to field his strongest XI.

Although Lyon have upped their game in recent months, they will struggle to get the better of the mighty Paris Saint-Germain.

Forebet’s algorithm predicts that PSG and Lyon will combine for over 2.5 goals on Saturday, with Les Parisiens outscoring Les Gones to lift the trophy.
