On Saturday afternoon, Freiburg and RB Leipzig clash at the Europa-Park Stadion in a massive game in the race for the Champions League spots in the Bundesliga.
The team from the Black Forest will need to recover quickly from the 5-1 home defeat by RB Leipzig in midweek in the semi-final of the DFB Pokal. The defeat ended a three-game winning run for Christian Streich’s team in all competitions.

While they won’t be winning the DFB Pokal, Freiburg are in an excellent position to finish in the Bundesliga’s Champions League spots. They are currently in fourth place in the table, two points clear of Saturday’s fifth-place opponents.
Freiburg have been slightly inconsistent on home soil in the Bundesliga. However, they have lost just once in their previous 14 home games in the German top flight.
The home side has kept just one clean sheet on home soil in their last nine Bundesliga games.
Die Roten Bullen will be buoyed by that incredible midweek Pokal victory at the Europa-Park Stadion. Marco Rose’s team seems unlikely to have such an easy ride in the return game. However, another win would put them in a strong position for a top-four finish.
Leipzig's recent league form has aided their chances of landing a Champions League spot, as the visitors have recorded wins in three of their previous four matches in the Bundesliga.
However, their poor recent away record could hinder their top-four hopes, as they have lost three of their last four league matches on their travels.
Their recent away games in the German top flight have been low-scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in their previous three Bundesliga games on their travels.
With so little between the two teams, it’s unsurprising that Forebet predicts that this game will produce a low-scoring draw.
