Juventus to Edge Through on Aggregate After a Draw Against Freiburg

Freiburg have all the work to do when they play hosts to Juventus at the Stade Europa-Park with a 1-0 lead for the Serie A giants seeing them establish themselves as arguably the team to watch in the Europa League this campaign.

Juventus have been fantastic this season in most competitions, despite their 15-point deduction keeping the club down in 17th and way off the Champions League spots.

Juventus matched their 1-0 win at home over the Bundesliga side with a stunning 4-2 victory over Sampdoria back in Serie A.

On the other hand, they did concede two goals at home to a side sitting bottom of the table in the Italian top flight, which won't please Max Allegri in the slightest.

However, two early first half goals from Gleison Bremer and Adrien Rabiot forced a 2-0 lead, just as Rabiot netted another later in the game. Matis Soule sealed the deal with a goal in the 94th minute to ease fears of dropped points for the Allianz Arena faithful.

This win still keeps the Turin giants four points behind Atalanta in sixth, although if you were to add on 15 points lost by Juventus because of points deduction, they would be in second and ahead of Inter Milan by three points.

This comes as a result of only five losses and five draws alongside 16 wins, just as Allegri's side have let in 22 goals all season long - only Lazio can match this just as Napoli are the only side in Italy with a better defensive record.

Angel Di Maria was once again the difference for Juventus in the first leg against Freiburg, as his goal in the first half sealed a 1-0 win.

This also came after his stunning goals against Nantes in the play-off round across two legs, and the Argentine is proving to be their best and most important player in this competition this season.

As for Freiburg, despite a drop in form and in the Bundesliga table too, they did return to the win column by defeating Hoffenheim 2-1 last time out.

Goals from Max Eggistein and Ritsu Doan at either end of the game forced a relatively easy win for the club, although they are now sitting in fifth and sit behind the title race by quite a few points.

Forebet predicts a draw here and for the game to see under 2.5 goals once again.
