Bayer Leverkusen will look to find some form in Europe after a terrible run of results in the Bundesliga sees them down in the bottom half of the table ahead of the visit of Hungarian giants Ferencváros to the BayArena.

As is usually the case, Ferencvaros sit top of their domestic league and are set to stroll to yet another league title.

It sees the club with 15 wins all season long in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, and no side comes close to this run of form in Hungary with eight wins being the second most.

The league leaders have also lost only twice and drawn five times from their 22 games.

Ferencvaros have gone on to score 46 goals this season and let in 17 from the group games and this is rapidly closing in on the 60 they netted last year already.

Back in the Europa League, the Hungarian outfit shocked Group H by finishing just above Monaco, who ironically, Leverkusen defeated on penalties after a 5-5 aggregate scoreline.

Both sides did, however, win three, draw one and lose two, but with Ferencvaros beating Monaco, they finished above the Ligue 1 outfit on a head-to-head record and therefore avoided the Europa League playoff position that Leverkusen had to deal with.

It's been a struggle all season long for Xabi Alonso at the Leverkusen helm, but they do come into this one after a return to the win column in the Bundesliga.

The club smashed Hertha Berlin 4-1 after more goals from Moussa Diaby, Sardar Azmoun, Jeremie Frimpong and Amine Adli. All four have carried Alonso's side on the goalscoring front, and they will be vital here.

They now sit ninth in the table with nine victories, four draws and 10 losses. It has also seen the Bundesliga side score 40 goals and let in 37 across 23 league games, and dreams of getting back into the Europa League for next season are all but over with an 11-point gap on Freiburg in fifth.

Leverkusen played out a stunning two-legged affair with Ferencvaros' Group H opponents Monaco, as they lost 3-2 at the BayArena, only to beat them 3-2 in France. Florian Wirtz, Exequiel Palacios and Adli all scored that day with the club going on to win on penalties after a 5-5 draw.

Forebet predicts a win for Leverkusen in this one as they look set to take a healthy lead to Hungary with the game seeing under 2.5 goals.a
