Bristol to Make Easy Work of Boreham in the FA Cup
    25/11/22 2046

The FA Cup will continue this weekend in the shadow of the World Cup as Bristol Rovers of League One meet with the National League side Boreham Wood in what is set to be a crucial game for the form of both sides with neither club yet to establish themselves so far.

Rovers are down into 15th after a topsy-turvy run in League One. On the other hand, they did manage to beat fourth-placed Peterborough United last time out with a 1-0 win thanks to a goal from Scott Sinclair in the second half.

Bristol also had 18 efforts towards goal that day with four shots on target too and 62% of the ball. In truth, it was one of their better performances this season in League One.

Rovers are 15th right now with a stunning goals difference record. Their 33 goals conceded is the most for those sitting outside of the relegation zone, and only bottom-placed Forest Green and 22nd-placed Burton Albion have managed to let in more goals this season.

Bristol also managed to keep up their unbeaten form after the win over the Posh, with them also beating League Two's Colchester United 2-1 away from home. Prior to this, the club drew 2-2 against Fleetwood Town and also managed to edge past Rochdale 1-0 in the FA Cup.

Nevertheless, despite the great form right now, they have only won six games so far from the 19 League One fixtures they've played in, losing seven games and drawing the other six.

With 30 goals scored, however, they are one of the highest-scoring teams in League One, with only Peterborough, Ipswich Town, Sheffield Wednesday and Plymouth Argyle scoring more.

As for Boreham Wood, the non-league side have been struggling in the National League so far and sit 10th without many aspirations to get into the playoff spots right now.

Luke Garrard's men did manage to beat Eastleigh in the first round of the FA Cup not too long ago, however, to set up this time here with Bristol.

The club lost to Woking a few weeks back too and Halifax Town a week later and a draw with York City in the National League too now means they are on a three-game winless run in their own division right now.

Forebet predicts a win here for Bristol and for the League One side to see under 2.5 goals in the game too.
