Bayern to Edge Past Union Berlin as the Title Edges Nearer Once More

In what is one of the most enticing games of the weekend in the Bundesliga, Berlin will meet with Munich as Union Berlin travel to the Allianz Arena in search of returning to the top six with only a handful of games left to go.

It has been a topsy-turvy season for Union Berlin this campaign, as they now sit in eighth after a recent tumble that has seen the club drop out of the top five and a bit of a distance away from their dreams of getting into the Europa League.

Urs Fischer's men are also now on a two-game run without a win in the Bundesliga and with must-win games against Koln and rivals Hertha Berlin coming up, they can't afford another hammering here.

Union Berlin lost to Wolfsburg just two weeks back, before their lacklustre 1-1 draw with relegation fighters Stuttgart.

As for Bayern, despite back-to-back draws in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen and Hoffenheim, the club are still sitting top of the Bundesliga by four points, and games at home like this is where they are expected to return to winning ways and edge closer to the title.

Bayern also destroyed RB Salzburg 7-1 last midweek in the Champions League in what was just another night of them scoring 5+ goals in a game this season. In fact, Bayern now have netted 77 times from 26 games and have only drawn three times and lost four in the German top flight this season.
