Fresh from clinching the EFL Cup, Liverpool will aim to edge closer to securing another trophy when they host Norwich City in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Wednesday.
The Reds beat Chelsea in Sunday’s dramatic final at Wembley, with Blues goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga missing from the penalty spot to hand Jurgen Klopp’s men the victory.

In the Premier League table, the gulf between second-place Liverpool and last-place Norwich stands at a whopping 43 points.
Thanks to Sunday’s triumph, Liverpool have now won all of their previous ten matches across all competitions.
When you look at the bigger picture, the Reds have avoided defeat in each of their last 13 outings – picking up 11 wins and two draws along the way.
In the FA Cup, the Merseysiders have managed to score at least two goals in each of their past four encounters.
Klopp’s side thrashed Shrewsbury Town 4-1 in their first FA Cup game of the season before beating Cardiff City 3-1 in the previous round.
As for Norwich, they claimed back-to-back 1-0 wins over Charlton Athletic and Wolverhampton Wanderers to reach the fifth round of the FA Cup.
It is worth noting, however, that Norwich have been eliminated at this stage of the competition in four of the past five seasons.
In the Premier League, the Canaries have managed to win just four of their 26 matches this term – recording five draws and 17 losses in the process.
Dean Smith’s side head into Wednesday’s clash on a three-game losing streak, having scored just a single goal during that period.
Head-to-head: Liverpool have already beaten Norwich three times this season – twice in the Premier League and once in the EFL Cup.
The Reds have won each of their last six meetings with the Canaries across all competitions, scoring over 2.5 goals on five occasions in that time.
Team news: Roberto Firmino and Thiago Alcantara look set to miss Wednesday’s clash through injury. Thiago sustained a hamstring injury in the warm-up for Sunday’s EFL Cup final.
Norwich will be without the injured duo of Adam Idah and Andrew Omabamidele for the trip to Anfield. Jakob Sorensen is also a doubt.
Not only did Liverpool win the EFL Cup at the weekend, but they are also battling for the Premier League title. By contrast, Norwich are fighting to remain in the top flight.
With that in mind, Forebet predicts that Liverpool will secure an easy win over Norwich – scoring over 2.5 goals while keeping a clean sheet.
