Premier League side Crystal Palace will welcome Championship’s Stoke City to Selhurst Park this Tuesday night as both sides look to make it to the FA Cup quarter-finals for the first time since they both reached the final over the past 11 years.

Both clubs do have a great history with the FA Cup in recent times, as the Eagles made it to the final back in 2016 and even led Manchester United at one point before falling to goals in extra time.

The Potters battled Manchester City back in 2011 and lost that day too and haven’t competed as well in the competition ever since.

Palace are back in decent form now following their 1-1 draw with Burnley at home, as this came off the back of a 4-1 thrashing over Watford at Vicarage Road.

Wilfried Zaha scored two goals late on that day as Conor Gallagher got another goal to end his goal drought, while Jean-Philippe Mateta bagged too.

This was Patrick Vieira’s biggest win with the Eagles for a number of weeks with the club faltering to those further down the table a lot in recent times.

Brentford managed to snatch a draw from them, while bottom-placed Norwich City also earned a draw at the start of the month, meaning Watford are the only side the club have beaten in the past two months who are below them in the Premier League table.

In getting to the FA Cup fifth round as well, it hasn't been the easiest time for Palace. Vieira's side edged past Millwall in a London derby 2-1 after falling behind, but a second half blitz ended all negativity that day. League Two Hartlepool were up next and Palace eased past them 2-0.

As for Stoke, they haven't conceded a goal in the FA Cup this season following 2-0 victories over Leyton Orient in the third round and Wigan Athletic in the fourth round.

However, the Potters are now on a two-game losing streak after losing to Luton Town and Bournemouth in the past week, which also came off the back of 2-2 draws with Birmingham City and Nottingham Forest.

Rightfully so, given their better form and superior status in the English football pyramid, Palace are the favourites here.

Forebet predicts The Eagles will get the job done here and in a game that sees under 2.5 goals as Stoke fail to get in the score sheet this Tuesday.
