Two sides in contrasting periods of form right now will clash in the Coppa Italia this Thursday night as Juventus look to salvage further redemption for what has been a torrid campaign for them just as Sassuolo aim to do the same amidst their recent drop into the bottom half of Serie A.
The Black and Greens have been just about as topsy-turvy as it gets this season as they now sit 12th in the league following their ninth defeat of the campaign in Serie A which now, alarmingly, sees their goal difference enter the negatives for the first time in many weeks.

Just prior to the winter break, Sassuolo drew 1-1 with Torino in a fixture where they couldn’t afford to lose, but the draw, however, didn’t exactly do them much for them either and it meant the club had to win their next clash in order to keep up their bid for a top 10 finish.
Sampdoria annihilated them last weekend 4-0, however, and it now leaves the club with 42 goals conceded and 39 scored, meaning despite an OK January and a decent December, the table now looks quite ugly to them.
Nevertheless there always seems to be a goal in the Sassuolo side as they have only failed to score in two of their past 22 fixtures since losing to Torino back in September, and Juventus will need to be careful of the threat they possess.
The likes of Domenico Berardi, Giacomo Raspadori, and Gianluca Scamacca have all turned up the heat in the last month for the club.
Moreover, against Cagliari in the last game of the Coppa Italia, Abdou Harroui scored the game's only goal in what was a relatively solid performance from the Black and Greens.
As for Juventus, they have been on the rise in the past few months and they have certainly picked themselves up from the disastrous start to the campaign under Max Allegri which saw them drop as low as 10th in the league after 10 games and they only had their excellent Champions League run to boast about.
Now, however, the club are back into the top four following another win over Hellas Verona, which now puts them on a four-game winning streak following their Supercoppa Italiana final loss to Inter Milan.
At the same time, they haven't lost in the league since losing to Atalanta back in November.
Juventus’ form looks too good right now and Forebet predicts them to advance to the semi-finals in a game that sees over 2.5.
