Everton sealed their long-awaited move for Italian youngster Moise Kean on Sunday. The highly-rated 19-year-old joins the Merseysider’s for a reported initial fee of around £27million from Italian giants Juventus.
In today’s madcap transfer market, the fee looks like it could be a bargain for such a promising young player. Reportedly Juventus were not keen on selling the young forward.
However, the Bianconeri could not sell the likes of Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain and needed to recoup some money after the big-money signing of Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax.

Kean is regarded by many as the brightest young player in the Italian game and one of the most promising youngsters in the European game. To sign him for the fee they did is yet more excellent work by the Toffees director of football Marcel Brands, who is proving a top signing himself.
Kean caused a few waves last season by scoring six goals in 13 appearances for Juventus. He has also found the net twice in three international appearances for Italy.
Even prior to those goals and displays the forward already had a big reputation within the game from youth football.
Not only is he technically gifted, but he also has pace and strength. One of the most important facets of his game is his work rate though, as the youngster is willing to work hard. He seems to be potentially the full package.
At 19 years of age, he is still raw and learning the game, so he may well need time to adapt to the English game. However, he gives Everton another much-needed attacking option, as their forward options were not great prior to his arrival.
The signing of Moise Kean could be one of the shrewdest of the summer transfer window. At 19 he has the world at his feet and in Everton, he could have the perfect platform to start fulfilling his potential.
