On Thursday night, Toulouse and Nantes go head-to-head in the Ligue One relegation play-offs first leg, as the visitors look to preserve their top-flight status.
Toulouse finished just two points short of winning automatic promotion to Ligue One. A five-game unbeaten run in at the end of the season was enough to ensure Patrice Garande’s team a spot in the play-off, though.

The home side finished the campaign in prolific fashion, as they scored at least two goals in their final four league games of the season.
English forward Rhys Evitt-Healey scored four goals in Toulouse’s last two league matches to take his tally to 15 Ligue 2 goals for the season.
Toulouse have been particularly strong on home soil of late, as they are unbeaten in 15 home matches in all competitions, recording 13 wins in the process.
They have also been high-scoring at the Stadium de Toulouse, scoring at least two goals in eight of their last nine games.
Despite a decent run of form towards the end of last season, Nantes still found themselves stuck in 18th place at the end of the campaign. A 2-1 home win against Montpellier on the final day made certain that Nantes would have to contest this play-off.
The last day loss ended a run of four straight league wins for Antoine Kombouare’s team. The visitors had also managed to score at least two goals in each of the four straight wins in the league.
Nantes also finished the Ligue One campaign with a good away run, as they won four of their last five league games on their travels while scoring at least two goals in all four of the victories.
Forebet predicts that Nantes will continue their stellar recent away form and record a victory in a high-scoring encounter to gain a vital first-leg lead.
