Bayern Munich are the champions of Germany once more and go into matchday 34 of the Bundesliga season ready to send off several players in style.

Saturday’s match at the Allianz Arena won’t just be the last for a few players, but it will be the final game for coach Hansi Flick as well. RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann will take over the team in the offseason.

Augsburg will aim to spoil the celebrations and farewells at Bayern Munich this weekend. The Fuggerstädter are safe for another season of Bundesliga football. They sit 12th in the league having obtained 36 points which is five more than 16th-place Werder Bremen.

Bayern Munich are on a good run of form. They took 11 points from the last 18 on offer to them in the league. Their last two games both ended without defeat although matchday 33 saw them draw 2-2 versus Freiburg.

Augsburg are on a run of terrible form in the Bundesliga. They have taken just four points from the last 18 available. On matchday 33, Augsburg managed a 2-0 win over Werder Bremen. It ended a five-match winless streak for the team.

Flick will be without the duo of Douglas Costa and Leon Goretzka. The players have missed large chunks of the campaign with injuries – especially Costa. His move from Juventus has been a bust this season.

Augsburg’s Noah Bazee is ruled out of the game while Felix Uduokhai is also set to miss the game. Ruben Vargas will miss the fixture due to a suspension.

The Fuggerstädter’s last win against Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga came in the 2014-15 season. Since then, Augsburg have failed to win 12 straight games in all competitions versus Die Roten.

Bayern Munich claimed a 1-0 win earlier this season against Augsburg. Robert Lewandowski scored the only goal of the game in the 13th minute from the penalty spot.

Augsburg played the champions strongly in the reverse fixture. They will want to finish the campaign on a high note.

Nine of the last 12 games in the Bundesliga between Bayern Munich and Augsburg finished with over 2.5 goals scored. Eight of the last 12 fixtures in all competitions finished with both teams finding the back of the net.

Saturday’s match between the two sides should once again finish with both teams scoring goals and over 2.5 goals tallied.

Bayern Munich’s last three league games all ended with more than 2.5 goals. They are scoring but the defence has continued to concede to opponents.
