On Wednesday evening, Cagliari and Fiorentina meet in what could be a decisive match at the bottom end of the Serie A table for the home team.

Cagliari Calcio have also recorded back-to-back home wins in the Italian top-flight, beating Parma 4-3 and Roma 3-2. One downside for the home side is that they have now conceded at least two goals in their last four league games on home soil.
Like Cagliari, Fiorentina’s recent form has not been bad, as the Viola are unbeaten in four Serie A outings ahead of their trip to the Sardegna Arena. Last time out, Giuseppe Iachini’s team recorded a highly creditable 2-0 home win over Lazio.
The result all but secured Serie A status for next season for the team from Florence. They are not yet mathematically safe but are seven points clear of the relegation zone.
Fiorentina have struggled for form on their travels in the Italian top-flight of late, as they have won two of their previous ten away games in Serie A. Their recent away matches have been relatively high-scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in four of their last five outings.
Forebet predicts that this clash will be a close encounter likely ending in a low-scoring draw, which would like inch both teams closer to safety.
