Real Betis have the chance to enhance their European aspirations when they visit relegation-threatened Valladolid on Sunday.

Betis currently find themselves sixth in the La Liga table – three points behind fifth-place Real Sociedad and one point ahead of seventh-place Villarreal.

Meanwhile, Valladolid are down in seventeenth place and sit level with eighteenth-place Elche on 30 points.

Valladolid picked up their third consecutive draw on Wednesday, drawing 2-2 with Athletic Bilbao at San Mames.

Remarkably, Valladolid have now drawn 15 of their 33 La Liga matches this term, more than any other team in the Spanish top-flight.

Looking at the bigger picture, Real Valladolid have only managed to win one of their previous 16 league outings.

With Elche and Huesca breathing down their necks, Sergio Gonzalez’s men are looking over their shoulders.

Funnily enough, Real Betis head into Sunday’s clash on the back of five straight draws, most recently holding Real Madrid to a goalless draw.

Betis have only lost one of their last 11 league games, although they have only managed to pick up five wins in that time.

On a brighter note, Manuel Pellegrini’s side have only lost two of their previous 21 matches in all competitions.

It is also worth pointing out that each of Betis’ last seven away matches against Valladolid have produced under 2.5 goals.

Head-to-head: Real Betis clinched a 2-0 victory over Valladolid in the reverse fixture back in September.

However, let’s not forget that Valladolid have won three of the previous five meetings between the teams.

Team news: Valladolid only have one injury absentee at the moment, with Raul Garcia Carnero currently on the sidelines.

On the flip side, Dani Martin and Victor Camarasa are both unavailable for Real Betis, while Cristian Tello is also a doubt.

Valladolid are fighting for their lives at the moment. However, they just can’t seem to find a win at the moment.

Following five straight draws, Betis are expected to come good and return to winning ways against struggling Valladolid.

In fact, Forebet predicts that Betis will keep a clean sheet en route to beating Valladolid on Sunday.
