La Liga basement dwellers, Eibar, face a tough evening at the office on Monday night when they prepare for the visit of high-flying Real Sociedad, to their Estadio Municipal de Ipurúa with the hosts five points adrift of safety prior to this difficult fixture.
It’s been a miserable La Liga campaign for Eibar who sit bottom of La Liga and their situation has been further compounded by a woeful sequence of 15 matches without a win which also includes 11 defeats as well.

Eibar have lost their last four matches on the trot having suffered losses against Real Madrid, Levante, Atletico Madrid and Granada which doesn’t bode well for this upcoming visit from Real Sociedad, while at home Eibar are without a win from their last six matches.
The bigger picture shows that Eibar have managed just one win out of their last 15 matches at their Estadio Municipal de Ipurúa and the hosts have also failed to score in eight of these 15 games too.
Real Sociedad maintained their 5th place position in La Liga thanks to a 2-1 home win over Celta Vigo on Thursday night which would have been a welcome victory indeed for the visitors as it also ended a lean period of five matches without a win for Real Sociedad.
Within this lean period of results, Real Sociedad have suffered three losses against Granada, Barcelona and Sevilla but they’ll be looking to pick up momentum again on the back of the midweek win here on Monday night.
Real Sociedad have produced an away record of won 6, drawn 5 and lost 4 so far this season and the visitors have managed to collect just two wins on the road from their last 10 matches with wins at Athletic Bilbao and Getafe but also includes four losses.
One thing in Real Sociedad’s favour though ahead of this upcoming trip to face bottom club Eibar is that they’re unbeaten in their last three meetings against their hosts which includes two wins so this may well stand them in good stead on Monday night as they look to consolidate their 5th place status.
The visitors have also lost just one of their last four visits to the Estadio Municipal de Ipurúa and Real Sociedad look set to grab at least a point here if not take all three points.
