We have a Yorkshire derby in the Premier League this weekend, with Leeds United hosting Sheffield United at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.

Leeds currently sit eleventh in the table – 25 points clear of Sheffield United, who find themselves four points adrift at the bottom.

It’s fair to say that Leeds have been one of the most inconsistent teams in the Premier League this season.

In fact, only one team has drawn fewer games than Leeds, with 12 wins and 14 losses underlining their unpredictability.

But given that only five sides have scored more goals this term, Marcelo Bielsa must be pleased with how his players have adapted to the top flight.

Leeds head into Saturday’s clash on a two-match unbeaten streak, having taken four points from a possible six before the international break.

After securing a goalless draw with Chelsea, Leeds beat Fulham 2-1, thanks to goals from Patrick Bamford and Raphina.

On the flip side, Sheffield United have only managed to win four of their 32 Premier League outings this season.

On a brighter note, is worth pointing out that each of their four wins have come in their previous 12 matches.

However, the Blades are still four points behind second-bottom West Brom and a whopping 14 points from safety.

Not only have Sheff Utd lost each of their last five away games in all competitions, but they have also failed to score a single goal in that time.

Having lost 2-0 to Southampton and 5-0 to Leicester, the Blades head into Saturday’s game on the back of successive losses.

Head-to-head: Leeds beat Sheff Utd in the reverse fixture back in September, with Bamford netting an 88th-minute winner on that occasion.

However, across the previous six meetings between Leeds and Sheff Utd, both teams have picked up three wins.

Team news: Leeds will be without the injured Adam Forshaw this weekend, although Mateusz Klich could return following a spell on the sidelines.

Sheff Utd currently have Sander Berge, Billy Sharp, Chris Basham, John Egan, Jack Robinson, Jack O’Connell and Jack Rodwell on the sidelines.

The recent head-to-head record between these two sides is even, but there is no denying that Leeds should beat struggling Sheff Utd this time around.

Forebet predicts that Leeds will score over 1.5 goals on their way to victory over Sheff Utd, with a clean sheet also looking likely for the hosts.
