PSG will be seeking a sixth win in seven matches in the French top flight when they entertain 13th placed Nice at the Parc des Princes on Sunday afternoon and in turn continue the pressure upon the current league leaders, Lille.
A sustained run of positive results has helped lift PSG up into 3rd place in Ligue 1 and the hosts are now just three points within Lille at the top of the domestic top flight, and having won five of their last six matches, PSG will be homing in another win at Parc des Princes.

Results and form at home have been impressive for PSG as they’ve won their last five matches on the trot with victories over Lorient, Strasbourg, Brest, Montpellier and Nimes and after a shaky start to the season, the hosts have won nine of their 12 matches at home to date.
It’s interesting to note that seven of PSG’s nine wins at home have also resulted in over 2.5 goals as well.
13th placed Nice look to have their work cut out if they’re to get anything out of this upcoming clash in the nation’s capital on Sunday afternoon, especially as the visitors have managed to pick up just two wins out of their last nine matches overall.
Five defeats within this period against Lyon, Brest, Bordeaux, Saint-Etienne and Monaco have prevented Nice from lifting themselves up into the top half of Ligue 1 and although they’ve recorded wins over Lens and Angers, these have been overshadowed by the losses.
However, Nice’s chances of causing an upset over PSG do appear to rest in their form away from home as five of Nice’s total tally of eight wins so far this season have been achieved on their travels where they’ve won five of their 11 matches to date.
In addition, Nice have also kept six clean sheets within this 11-match period away from home this season which also gives them a chance against the French champions but their recent record against their hosts has seen PSG hold the upper hand.
PSG have won five of the last six meetings against Nice with all five of these victories also resulting in over 2.5 goals so this trend may well continue on Sunday afternoon especially as PSG are chasing top spot.
