Friday evening brings us a top half clash in the German top flight as 7th placed Borussia Moenchengladbach play host to 4th placed Borussia Dortmund with just a point separating the two teams as they prepare to face-off at the Stadion im BORUSSIA-PARK.
M’gladbach bring a four-match unbeaten sequence into this important clash having recently picked up wins against Arminia Bielefeld, a 3-2 home win over Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen as well as picking up a point in a 2-2 draw away at Stuttgart.
Overall form and results have also been solid for M’gladbach as the hosts have suffered just the one defeat out of their last 10 matches while their results on home turf at their Stadion im BORUSSIA-PARK have also mirrored overall returns as the hosts have lost just one of their last 12 matches.
M’gladbach passed their recent test against Bayern Munich, winning 3-2, but they’ll face further stiff competition from Borussia Dortmund on Friday night so perhaps the goal markets may be the best option here; indeed, nine of M’gladbach’s last 12 home matches have seen both teams score.
Onto Borussia Dortmund, and the visitors still remain in the top four of the Bundesliga despite their 2-1 defeat away from home at Bayer Leverkusen in midweek and having previously been held to a 1-1 draw at home by second from bottom Mainz, Dortmund are expected to be up for this encounter.

Dortmund’s recent results have been very inconsistent though as the visitors have picked up just three wins out of their last nine matches overall with two of these three being achieved away from home at Werder Bremen 2-1 and an impressive 3-1 win at 2nd placed RB Leipzig.
Results away from home have been fairly reasonable as Dortmund have picked up five wins out of their nine matches played to date with wins at Hoffenheim, Arminia Bielefeld, Hertha Berlin, Werder Bremen and RB Leipzig but three losses on their travels also suggests an element of inconsistency.
With this in mind, the goals market appeals again where Dortmund are concerned as six of Dortmund’s nine away matches have also resulted in both teams hitting the back of the net with their last six away matches on the trot seeing this result coming in.
Forebet predicts a high-scoring clash and win for the guests.
