Cadiz were knocked out of the Copa del Rey by lower league opposition at the weekend, going down 2-0 away at Girona. Levante just about got themselves through to the next round but needed penalties to second tier side Fuenlabrada.

In the league, Cadiz are unbeaten in their last three matches, picking up two draws and a win, while Levante have won two and lost one of their last three La Liga outings.

Focus for both clubs shifts back onto La Liga where the pair are separated by just two positions and 2pts. Hosts Cadiz sit the higher of the two clubs in the La Liga table, but Levante have played one game fewer this season.

The majority of the duo’s recent encounters against one another have ended in stalemates, with four of their last five meetings in league and cup ending all square. Each of those draws have produced under 2.5 goals and Cadiz are one of the lowest scoring and lowest conceding sides outside of the top six.

Five Cadiz’s last six outings in all competitions have produced under 2.5 goals and three of those games have ended in draws. Only two of Levante’s last six matches have seen under 2.5 goals scored but on each of those occasions, the games ended in stalemate.

Cadiz have actually failed to score in four of their last six outings and have kept two clean sheets during that period, all of which points towards the possibility of a low-scoring 90-minutes on Tuesday evening.

Fali will serve a one-match suspension and Fernandez, Mari, Mauro and Quezada could all miss out for the home side on Tuesday due to injury. Levante only have injury concerns over Enis Bardhi and Rober Pier, with both almost certain to be out of action for the next few weeks.

Both of these teams have played to a very similar standard so far this season and the hosts aren’t known for scoring or conceding many goals.

History points towards a draw being the most likely result on Tuesday evening and there is a good chance the game could end goalless.
