Championship side Queens Park Rangers welcome Premier League outfit Fulham to Loftus Round in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday.

QPR find themselves 20th in the Championship table on 21 points – just two points clear of the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Fulham are 18th in the Premier League standings – nine points clear of last-place Sheffield United and three points from safety.

QPR head into Saturday’s clash in a dismal nine-game unbeaten run, with five defeats and four draws coming during that period.

They have also failed to score in four of their previous seven outings, conceding eight goals in the process.

Interestingly, it is worth pointing out that QPR have been knocked out in all of their last three FA Cup matches against Fulham.

Having said that, QPR can take confidence from the fact that they have advanced from the third round of the FA Cup in each of the previous two seasons.

On the other hand, Fulham haven’t enjoyed much luck in the FA Cup in recent years, losing four of their last five games in the competition.

When it comes to the Premier League, the Cottagers have drawn each of their previous four outings, holding Liverpool, Brighton, Newcastle and Southampton.

Scott Parker’s men have only managed to win two of their 15 league matches this term, beating West Brom and Leicester back in November.

But having lost to Manchester City at the beginning of December, Fulham have failed to win any of their last five games.

Head-to-head: QPR and Fulham last face each other in the Championship last season, with Fulham claiming a 2-1 victory both home and away.

In fact, the Cottagers are unbeaten in their last five games against QPR, picking up three wins and two draws in that time.

Team news: Apart from long-term absentees Luke Amos and Charlie Owens, QPR have no fresh injury concerns heading into Saturday’s game.

As for Fulham, Terence Kongolo will have to pass a late fitness test before the weekend following a minor injury.

When you couple QPR’s dismal form with Fulham’s recent record in this fixture, all the signs point towards an away win on Saturday.

Forebet predicts that Fulham will produce a third straight 2-1 victory over QPR.
