AC Milan lost their unbeaten tag in the Italian top flight on Wednesday night when they were handed a heavy 3-1 loss at home to Juventus, but the hosts have another chance to rectify things against Serie A strugglers, Torino, on Saturday evening at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Despite that defeat, AC Milan still remain top of Serie A with a slender one point lead over local rivals, Inter Milan, but Stefano Pioli’s side know that they cannot afford another slip-up on Saturday as the hosts look to set the record straight on home soil.

AC Milan have lost just once out of their last 14 matches at home and indeed, just twice out of the last 21 matches, so they’ll certainly fancy their chances of recording a bounce-back win against Torino as they seek to maintain their position at the summit of Serie A.

In addition, AC Milan hold a solid record at home against their Saturday’s visitors, Torino, as the hosts have never lost in their last 20 meetings at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and this trend looks set to continue this Saturday.

Torino could be forgiven for fearing the worst as they prepare for this tough upcoming trip to face a wounded AC Milan outfit on Saturday, especially as the visitors have managed to pick up just one win from their last 10 matches overall.

This lean spell of results include four defeats against Inter Milan, Juventus, Udinese and Roma but they have steadied the ship in recent times with a stubborn looking four-match unbeaten run in Serie A of late.

Torino have picked up valuable points in draws with Bologna, Napoli and Hellas Verona along with a resounding 3-0 win away from home at Parma, so they’ll approach this clash in a better frame of mind.

The visitors have found wins in the Italian top flight hard to come by though for some time as they’ve managed to collect just two wins out of their last 21 matches which certainly doesn’t bode well for an upcoming clash against the league leaders who are still smarting from their midweek defeat.

With just two wins out of their last 18 away matches as well, Torino look to have a mountain to climb here, especially as they’ve failed to beat AC Milan on each of the previous 20 visits.
