Arsenal welcome Burnley to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday night, capping off the weekend’s Premier League fixtures.

The Gunners currently sit 15th in the table on 13 points – seven points ahead of Burnley, who find themselves third from bottom.

Mikel Arteta’s men head into Matchday 12 on the back of an easy 4-2 victory over Dundalk in the Europa League on Thursday.

Arsenal cruised through their group, winning every game – scoring 20 goals while conceding just five in the process.

However, when it comes to their domestic commitments, the Gunners have been nowhere near good enough this term.

Not only have Arsenal lost three of their previous four Premier League matches, they have also lost three straight league games at home.

Worse still, only three teams have scored fewer Premier League goals than the Gunners this season – Burnley, West Brom and Sheffield United.

Normally ever-reliable, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has only managed to score two goals in 11 league outings this term.

But while Arsenal have netted ten goals this term, spare a thought for Burnley, who have only scored five – the joint-lowest total in the division.

The Clarets have failed to score in five of their last seven games and have not scored in any of their previous three away outings.

Burnley’s sole Premier League victory this season came three weeks ago against Crystal Palace, before they were thrashed 5-0 by Manchester City the following weekend.

Last time out, Sean Dyche’s men managed to secure a 1-1 draw against Everton, with Robbie Brady getting on the scoresheet for the Clarets.

Burnley may only be one point from safety with a game in hand, yet they are still four points behind Brighton in 16th.

Head-to-head: Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 14 meetings with Burnley, picking up 12 wins and two draws along the way.

However, Burnley managed to snatch a goalless draw in their most recent encounter with the Gunners back in February.

Team news: Nicolas Pepe is still suspended for Arsenal, while Thomas Partey is sidelined through injury. David Luiz, Reiss Nelson and Sead Kolasinac are all doubts.

Burnley will be without Jack Cork on Sunday, although Dale Stephens, Phil Bardsley, Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Robbie Brady will be hopeful of featuring.

It is no secret that Arsenal are struggling at the moment, but it’s fair to say that Burnley are in an even worse position.

Forebet predicts that both teams will score at the Emirates on Sunday. However, Arsenal should have enough quality to edge Burnley.
