Tottenham to Beat LASK and Progress in Group J
    03/12/20 3209

LASK really need to win their final home game of the group stage to stand a realistic chance of making their way through to the knockout stage.

The Austrians were beaten 2-0 at home by Belgian side Antwerp in their last group game and trail both Spurs and Antwerp by 3pts heading into the penultimate game in Group J.

LASK have struggled defensively in Group J, conceding 8-goals in four games, but have found the back of the net of five occasions. Four of the host’s last six matches have produced under 2.5 goals and both teams have scored in just one of those outings.

LASK have, however, only failed to score in one of those last six outings and should cause the Tottenham defence a few headaches on Thursday.

The last time the two clubs locked horns, in October, over 2.5 goals were scored as Spurs ran out 3-0 winners in London. Moura opened the scoring in the 18th-minute and an own goal from the unfortunate Andrade doubled the host’s lead before the half-hour mark. In the second half Son Heung-Min added to his goals tally for the season to wrap up a comfortable 3-0 win for Tottenham.

Tottenham have only lost once in the group stage, away at Antwerp, and last time out they thrashed Group J whipping boys, Ludogorets, 4-0. Tottenham can’t afford to take their foot off the gas on Thursday and their form suggests they won’t. Spurs have won five of their last six outings in all competitions.

Over 2.5 goals have been produced in three of Spur’s last six matches and both teams have scored in two of those games.

Gernot Trauner is suspended for the home side and Petar Filipovic and Lukas Grigic are both expected to miss the game against Spurs through injury. The visitors are without regular centre-back Toby Alderweireld and midfielder Erik Lamela due to injury.

Kane top scores for Spurs in the Europa League this season but teammate Son Heung-Min has been scoring lots of goals domestically and is due a few more in European competition.

Forebet is expecting a closer game than we saw previously between these two clubs, with over 2.5 goals a highly likely outcome.

It’s difficult to see Tottenham throwing this game away when it could see them qualify for the next round with a game to spare, so Forebet is backing a 3-0 away win.
