England will be looking to make it two wins from two when they visit Telia Parken to face Denmark on Tuesday night.

The Three Lions are second in Nations League Group A2 following a victory over Iceland, although they only trail group leaders Belgium on goal difference.

Meanwhile, Denmark are bottom of the group after losing to Belgium in their opening game of the 2020/21 Nations League.

Despite edging the possession stats, Denmark could only manage one shot on target against Belgium on Saturday.

Denmark had their moments, but Belgium always looked like the stronger teams. Goals from Jason Denayer and Dries Mertens did the damage.

The Danes have now gone two games without a win after drawing with Ireland in their final Euro 2021 qualifying game.

However, Denmark finished second in Group D to qualify for next summer’s tournament, going unbeaten throughout the qualification campaign (4 wins, 4 draws).

Not only were Denmark the highest scorers in Group D (23), but they also boasted the second-best defensive record in the group (6).

It’s safe to say that England can count themselves very lucky to have come away from their game against Iceland with all three points.

Sure, Gareth Southgate’s side dominated possession (78%) and created countless goalscoring opportunities, but they only secured the win in the 91st minute.

Raheem Sterling scored a last-gasp penalty to seal the points, but Iceland missed a penalty of their own shortly after.

England only lost one of their eight qualifying games for the European Championship, while seven wins saw them finish six points clear at the top of Group A.

The Three Lions scored a whopping 37 goals along the way, and they only conceded six in reply. Needless to say, they were the group’s top scorers by some distance.

England extended their winning streak to four games on Saturday, following high-scoring victories over Bulgaria (6-0), Montenegro (7-0) and Kosovo (4-0).

Head-to-head: England claimed a 1-0 friendly win the last time these two nations met back in 2014, although they have not played a competitive clash since 2002.

England beat Denmark 3-0 at the 2002 World Cup, meaning the Three Lions have won 12 of their 19 games against the Danes.

Team news: Denmark have no fresh injury concerns, so Hjulmand could well field the same starting XI that faced Belgium at the weekend.

England will be without the suspended Kyle Walker following his red card, so Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to start at right-back.

Denmark produced very few clear-cut chances against Belgium, while England struggled to find a way through against Iceland.

For that reason, Forebet predicts that Denmark and England will play out a low-scoring draw on Tuesday.
