On Saturday afternoon, North Macedonia host Armenia in Group C2 of the Nations League.
North Macedonia enjoyed a very solid Euro 2021 qualification campaign, finishing third-place in a group that included Poland and Austria. The third-place finish was enough to see the home side qualify for the play-offs, as they look to qualify for their first-ever major tournament.

The successful Euro 2021 campaign was built on North Macedonia’s form in the inaugural Nations League campaign back in 2018, where they met Saturday’s visitors. They were simply too good for most of their opponents that campaign, winning five of their six games. The exception was a 4-0 defeat in Armenia.
North Macedonia built their campaign on stellar attacking displays, as they scored at least two goals in five of six Nations League. They also scored ten goals in just three Nations League on home soil.
One slight negative is that North Macedonia have won just one of their last four meetings with the visitors.
Armenia have struggled for results of late on the international stage, winning just one of their last six matches, having suffered four defeats in the process. Poor defensive displays have been at the heart of their poor results of late, as they have conceded at least two goals in five of their last seven matches.
The visitors finished fifth-place in their Euro 2021 group. Their performance in the European Championships qualifying campaign was slightly disappointing, as they finished the last Nations League with a three-game unbeaten run while finishing second in the group to the home team.
Like the home team, Armenia were relatively prolific in the fledgeling competition, scoring at least two goals in four of their six games in the Nations League.
