The Swedish Allsvenskan moves into matchday 15 with a round of midweek fixtures. On Wednesday night, league leaders Malmo host Orebro at the Swedenbank Stadion looking to extend their lead over Elfsborg.
The hosts go into the game on 31 points after 14 matches having started the season well posting a record of 9W-4D-1L. Each of Malmo’s last six league fixtures ended in wins as the club strive to win the Allsvenskan title once more.
Orebro head into the fixture looking up the table at Malmo. Manager Axel Kjall has his side in 10th place with 17 points from 14 matches. Orebro have blown hot and cold over the course of their last six games posting two wins, two draws, and two losses.
Kjall’s team are a solid midtable club. They finished ninth in 2019 as Malmo ended the campaign in second place.

Swedish striker Isaac Thelin not only leads Malmo in goals but the entire Allsvenskan. Thelin has scored eight of the team’s 29 goals for 28% of Malmo’s scoring. He averages a goal every 110 minutes and has scored five goals in his last six Allsvenskan matches.
Thelin has bounced around a few clubs over the years including Bayer Leverkusen and Bordeaux. He is currently on loan at Malmo from Belgium’s Anderlecht and lighting up the Swedish league.
Malmo are on a four-game winning streak versus Orebro. The last time they lost to Wednesday night’s visitors was September 2017. Orebro do not win games away to Malmo at the Swedenbank Stadion in the Allsvenskan.
Orebro’s last win away to Malmo in the league came all the way back in 2001. Don’t expect that trend to change this week.
