9th placed Hellas Verona have seemingly little to play for ahead of this upcoming clash against high-flying Atalanta as the hosts sit mid-table and nine points adrift of Napoli and the top six, and they’re unlikely to suddenly put together a flurry of wins.

Momentum certainly appears to be on the side of Atalanta here as the visitors have swept aside their opposition in recent times and goals have also featured in the large majority of their matches as eight of these last 11 matches have also seen three goals or more scored.
In addition, Atalanta have won five of their last six matches on the road and these victories include putting seven goals not just once but twice against the likes of Torino 7-0 and Lecce 7-2 while they’ve scored a total of 22 goals from these last six matches on their travels overall.
The bigger picture shows that 12 of Atalanta’s 16 away matches in this season’s Serie A campaign have resulted in over 2.5 goals and the free-scoring visitors don’t look like letting up anytime soon with the likes of goalscoring midfielder Ilicic (15 goals) along with forwards Muriel (17 goals) and Zapata (10 goals) in their attacking ranks.
Goals therefore look likely in this clash.
