Surprise package, Real Sociedad, will re-start their La Liga campaign with a home fixture against Osasuna at their Reale Arena as the hosts look to pick up where they left off before the lockdown was issued and the Spanish top flight season put on hold.
Fourth-placed Real Sociedad have been a revelation so far in this season’s La Liga campaign as they’ve not only held their own but have ousted the likes of Atletico Madrid and Valencia in the Spanish top flight pecking order and Sunday’s hosts now have a real chance of claiming a Champions League spot for next season.

Recent overall results have seen Real Sociedad pick up four wins from their previous five matches with their only aberration being a narrow but understandable 1-0 defeat away from home at Barcelona, but victories over Athletic Bilbao, Valencia, Real Valladolid and Eibar will still give them confidence ahead of this clash with Osasuna.
It’s been Real Sociedad’s form on home turf at their Reale Arena though that has really impressed and they head into this clash having won their last four matches on the trot.
Onto Osasuna, and the visitors occupy a safe mid-table position of 11th place on the La Liga ladder as they resume their campaign with a difficult looking trip to face the in-form Real Sociedad outfit.
Osasuna also signed off with a win in the Spanish top flight before the lockdown was imposed as they registered a a 1-0 home win against Espanyol but prior to that much-needed win, Osasuna had lost four of their previous five matches overall.
Defeats to Villarreal 3-1, Real Madrid 4-1, Granada 3-0 and a 3-2 loss to Sevilla had pre vented Osasuna from lifting themselves up into the top half of La Liga, and as they now have to hit the road to face Real Sociedad this Sunday, it looks like this plan may have to wait another week.
Having registered just two wins from their last 12 matches on their travels, this may well be the case for Osasuna who have really struggled against Sunday’s hosts, Real Sociedad, in recent exchanges between the two clubs.
Real Sociedad are unbeaten in the previous seven encounters, winning six of these, so the hosts look set to hold the upper hand again in this clash.
