Saturday evening’s hosts, Dinamo Brest, certainly haven’t had it all their own way so far in this season’s Vysshaya Liga campaign as last season’s title-winners have struggled for consistency this time around as they seek to defend their Belarus top flight title.

Overall, Dinamo Brest have won 5, drawn 1 and lost 5 so far this term and find themselves in a disappointing 6th place on the Vysshaya Liga ladder and already nine points behind the current league leaders, BATE.

Dinamo Brest’s form this season has come in fits and starts and is evident when looking at their recent results; back-to-back wins against Belshina 3-0 away and a 2-1 home win over Dinamo Minsk were then followed by back-to-back defeats against Energetyk-BGU 2-1 away and a heavy 3-1 loss at home to BATE.

The hosts did manage to bounce back though with a resounding 4-1 thrashing away at  Rukh Brest last weekend, so they’ll be hoping this result can spark a winning streak; however, the goals market and in particular, both teams to score, looks the best option as the inconsistent Dinamo Brest outfit have seen both teams score in five of their six home matches to date.

Onto FC Minsk, and they too have had to endure a difficult campaign so far this season in the Belarus top flight as the visitors find themselves in a disappointing 12th place on the Vysshaya Liga table as inconsistent results have also hindered their progress too.

Recent results the difficulty that FC Minsk have had in producing a consistent sequence of results as they’ve registered wins against Slavia Mozyr 3-1 away and a 1-0 home against Slutsk, but they’ve also fallen to defeats against BATE, Rukh Brest and Torpedo Zhodino.

FC Minsk’s inconsistent results have also spread to their travels too as the visitors have won 2, drawn 1 and lost 2 so far on the road,

However, having secured all three points with a 3-1 win at Slavia and a point in a 1-1 draw at Gorodeya, FC Minsk may fancy their chances of walking away with something this Saturday.

Three of FC Minsk’s five away matches have also seen both teams score, and as this clash features two very inconsistent outfits, both look likely to hit the back of the net in this clash.
