Dinamo Brest were handed a surprise and disappointing 2-1 defeat at home in last weekend’s edition of the Belarus Vysshaya Liga by visitors, Slavia Mozyr, which put a stop to Dinamo Brest’s unbeaten start to this new campaign.
Sunday’s hosts had made a solid start to the new domestic top flight season after they picked up 4 points from their opening two matches of the new term thanks to a 1-1 draw at home with newcomers, Smolevichi, which was then followed by a 1-0 win on the road at Slutsk.
Despite their recent setback to Slavia, Dinamo Brest will still feel confident that they can return to winning ways here, especially as last season’s Vysshaya Liga title winners have suffered just 1 defeat out of their last 18 matches overall.

Dinamo Brest have also lost just 1 of their last 10 matches on home turf at their Stadyen DASK Brestski, an impressive sequence of results which include 6 wins while they’ve also won their last three meetings at home on the trot against Isloch Minsk too.
Isloch Minsk also tasted defeat at home last weekend in the Vysshaya Liga as they went down to a 3-2 defeat against Slutsk, and the visitors now face a tough trip to Brest where they’ll be fearing a backlash from their hosts, Dinamo Brest.
Isloch had also made an impressive start to the new Vysshaya Liga season as they’d registered back-to-back wins against Neman Grodno and Smolevichi to hand them a 100% winning record and the maximum haul of 6 points from their opening two matches of the new season.
However, after having played their last four league matches on home turf at their Stadyen Haradski, Isloch Minsk will hit the road this Sunday where they’ll be hoping they can end the recent dominance by their hosts, Dinamo Brest.
With just 4 away wins out of their last 13 matches on their travels in the domestic top flight, Isloch Minsk look to have their work cut out if they’re to get anything out of Dinamo Brest here, even though their hosts suffered defeat last time out at home.
A heavy 5-1 defeat at Dinamo Brest in their previous visit to the Stadyen DASK Brestski may still be in the back of Isloch Minsk’s minds as they prepare for this tough trip.
