On Wednesday night, Monchengladbach will look to move back into the Champions League spots in the German Bundesliga when they host in-form Koln at Borussia Park.
A few weeks and some unconvincing form have changed the home sides objectives slightly. A 2-1 home defeat against title-challenging Dortmund last time out has left the Foals nine points behind league leaders Bayern Munich.
To make matters worse Marco Rose’s side also slipped out of the Champions League spots in the German top-flight, with Bayer Leverkusen moving into fourth position, a point ahead of the home side.

The defeat against BVB means that Gladbach have won just three of their last eight matches in the Bundesliga, which is a record that was never going to be good enough to challenge the ultra-consistent Bayern Munich for the title.
Despite the Foals latest setback, they at least have a decent home record in the German top-flight of late, winning eight of their last ten league outings at Borussia Park.
A positive for Rose’s team heading into this clash is that they have won four of their last six meetings with Koln in all competitions.
Koln are one of the in-form teams in the Bundesliga, having claimed eight wins in their last ten league outings, including winning four of their last five league outings. A 2-1 win at Koln last time out also means that the Billy Goats have also scored at least two goals in four of their last five league matches.
