Time is running out for Besiktas to claim a European spot in the Super Lig. On Friday evening, the Istanbul giants host Ankaragucu at the Vodafone Park in the Turkish top-flight.
Besiktas have failed to finish in the top-three of the Turkish top-flight just once in the last seven years. However, there is a major possibility that they could very well be facing the prospect of missing out on the European places this season.

Last time out, they recorded a 2-1 win at Alanyaspor, which ended a mini-run of two games without a league victory.
The Vodafone Park was once a fortress for Besiktas. However, their recent home form in the Turkish Super Lig has been inconsistent, as they have won two, drawn one and lost two of their previous five league games on home soil.
Ankaragucu are desperately in need of points in the fight for survival in the Turkish Super Lig. The visitors are currently 17th place in the table, two points off the safety of 15th place.
Just like the hosts, the visitor's recent form in the Turkish top-flight has been inconsistent of late. They have won just twice in their last 18 matches in the Super Lig and head into this clash after back-to-back league defeats against Genclerbirligi and last time out Sivasspor. The visitors have also won just one of the last ten league matches on their travels.
