The race for the Bundesliga title is fast becoming fascinating. One of the teams involved in the title race is Monchengladbach, who visit Augsburg on Saturday afternoon.
The Foals have fallen six points off the top of the Bundesliga table after a recent inconsistent run of league form. In fact, the visitors have won just two of their last six matches in the German top-flight.

Augsburg are currently midtable in the Bundesliga table. The home side are eight points off the top-six while being ten points off the relegation zone. They will still be hoping to challenge for a European spot. However, to get anywhere near those European spots, Martin Schmidt’s team need to start picking up results and quickly.
The home side has only won one of their last seven matches in the German top-flight, having suffered five defeats in the process. The fact that Augsburg have conceded at least two goals in nine of their last ten Bundesliga matches has not helped their chances of making the top-six.
