Wolfsburg have experienced a mixed campaign so far this season. However, the Wolves head into Thursday night’s last-32 Europa League first leg tie against Malmo in decent form.
A surprise 3-2 win over Hoffenheim last time out means that the home side are now three games unbeaten in all competitions, having recorded two victories and a draw.
Wolfsburg have been difficult to beat in the Europa League of late losing just once in their last seven matches in European football’s secondary competition.
The Wolves last two Europa League games have produced under 2.5 goals. However, prior to those matches, seven of their previous eight matches had produced over 2.5 goals.

Wolfsburg have a pretty good home record in the Europa League, having won four of their last six games. However, prior to this season, the last time the German team featured in this competition was back in 2015. The home side has scored in eight of their last nine matches on home soil in this competition, even if some of those games date back to as early as 2014.
With the Swedish campaign currently in pre-season, Malmo head into this game having played just one competitive game since ending their Europa League group campaign back in mid-December.
The visitor’s results in the Europa League group stages were relatively impressive though, as the Swedish team head into this clash on the back of a five-game unbeaten run in the competition, whilst suffering just one defeat in their last eight matches.
Malmo’s away record in Europe’s secondary competition is the picture of inconsistency, as they have won two, drawn two and lost two of their last six matches on their travels.
Forebet predicts that Wolfsburg’s recent surge in form will continue in this clash, with the German team recording a comfortable victory in a high-scoring encounter.
