Dortmund to continue recent decent form at Hoffenheim

Dortmund seem to have now turned their form around after a slightly inconsistent run in September and October. On Friday night, Lucien Favre’s team face a trip to Hoffenheim, as they look to make up ground on league leaders RB Leipzig.

Last time out Leipzig held Dortmund to a pulsating 3-3 draw at Signal Iduna Park, a game where Julian Nagelsmann’s team just refused to lose. The draw means that BVB are unbeaten in five Bundesliga games, although two of those have finished all square.

A big feature of Dortmund’s play under Favre has been their sensational attacking play. The visitors have scored at least two goals in their last five league games and at least three goals in four of their last five league outings. Their last seven Bundesliga games have also produced over 2.5 goals.

Forward pair Marco Reus and Jadon Sancho have made a massive contribution to Dortmund’s attacking efforts this season, bagging nine league goals each.

BVB’s away form seems to be improving, as they have won their last two leagues matches on their travels. However, the two wins are their only away wins in the German top-flight in seven matches.

Hoffenheim are ninth-place in the table, but just a point behind Freiburg who occupy the last European spot.

Alfred Schreuder’s team ended a poor run of recent form in the German top-flight last time out, as they recorded a 2-0 win at in-form Union Berlin. In fact, the victory in the German capital ended a four-game winless run for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.

Their home form has not been great of late, as they have lost two of their last three outings in the German top-flight, and drawn the other game.
