Burnley face Crystal Palace at Turf Moor on Saturday. The Clarets can make it three wins on the bounce with victory this weekend, while Palace will be hoping to end a run of three straight defeats.

Sean Dyche’s side secured a comprehensive victory at Watford in their last match. Second-half goals from Chris Wood, Ashley Barnes and James Tarkowski ensured Burnley moved up to 7th in the table.

Wood and Barnes both got on the scoresheet in Burnley’s 3-0 victory the week before. The Clarets completely dominated West Ham a fortnight ago and will be hoping for more of the same on Saturday.

Burnley’s front-two have both scored six goals in the Premier League this season. Wood and Barnes have established themselves as one of the most feared striking partnerships in England’s top-flight and you’d be foolish to bet against them adding to their tallies against Palace.

The Eagles made a strong start to the season, but they have found themselves slipping down the table following a string of poor results. Roy Hodgson’s side currently sit 13th, and are without a win in their last five league games.

With that being said, Palace have endured a very difficult spell of fixtures in recent weeks. They have faced all the current top-four teams in their last five games, along with Arsenal. Palace picked up a point against the Gunners, but lost to Liverpool, Leicester, Man City and Chelsea.

The Eagles are amongst the lowest scoring teams in the division. They have only managed to net 11 goals in 13 games this season, while only struggling Watford have scored less. However, their early-season defensive efforts have saved them from falling further down the table.

In Wilfried Zaha, Palace have the player that has dribbled past the most opponents in the Premier League in 2019/20. Their star man must be on top form this weekend if Palace are to end their run of disappointing results.

Roy Hodgson has no fresh injury worries, so we could see him field the same starting eleven that pushed Liverpool all the way last time out.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson will be hoping to make a return for Burnley following injury, but Ashley Westwood will be unavailable for selection due to suspension.

It looks like we could see a continuation of the two team’s respective form this weekend. Burnley will be full of confidence heading into this game, while Crystal Palace’s winless run looks set to go on.

Forebet predicts that Burnley will get the better of Palace on Saturday. Both teams are likely to score, but the home side is expected to come out on top.
