Sporting Braga have finished in the top-five of the Portuguese top-flight in eight of the last nine seasons. However, they have made a less than impressive start to the current Primeira Liga campaign.
On Friday night they head to another team who have made a poor start to their campaign Vitoria Setubal.
There is little between the two teams point-wise as we head into this gameweek five clash. The home side has just three points from their opening four league outings, while the visitors have picked up just one more point for their efforts.
Setubal have drawn three of their four league outings so far this season, including their last match a 0-0 draw away at Gil Vicente. The poor start to the new campaign means that they have now won just once in ten outings in the Primeira Liga.
The home side has failed to score in any of their league games this season in the Portuguese top-flight. However, on a positive note, they have kept three clean sheets in four league games this season too.
Setubal have had major problems to pick up victories on home soil in recent seasons, as they have won just one of their last 14 matches in the Primeira Liga.
Braga heads into this game on the back of a three winless run in the Portuguese top-flight. Last time out, the visitors suffered a 4-0 home hammering at the hands of Benfica.
Their only league victory of the campaign came against Moreirense on the opening weekend. In fact, they have now won just two of their last eight league games dating back to April.
One positive for Sporting Braga heading into this clash with the recent history of the fixture on their side, as they have won four of the last six league meetings between the two teams.
