Patrick Vieira’s Nice have kicked-off their campaign in Ligue One in strong fashion winning both of their league games so far in season 2019/20. On Wednesday night, the Eaglets welcome Marseille to the Allianz Riviera.
The home side’s opening games of the Ligue One season have seen 2-1 wins over Amiens and last time out Nimes. Nice are only continuing their good form from the end of last season when they defeated Monaco 2-0 on the last weekend of the campaign.
There are signs of more consistency this season from Vieira’s men after an inconsistent campaign last season in the French top-flight.
One positive facet of Nice’s game recently has been that they have been hard to beat at the Allianz Riviera. In fact, they have suffered just one defeat in 15 outings on home soil in Ligue One.

Their most recent league matches on home soil in the French top-flight have been relatively low-scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in 14 of their last 16 home games.
One negative for the home side is that they have lost five of the last six meetings with the visitors.
Marseille have started the new league campaign in less than stellar fashion this season, picking up just one point from a possible six. OM kicked-off the campaign with a shock 2-0 home defeat against Reims before drawing 0-0 at Nantes last time out.
Marseille have a decent recent away record in the French top-flight, as they head to Nice undefeated in four away matches in Ligue One, having won two and drawn two games.
Andre Villas-Boas will be hoping to record his first win as OM boss and continue the visitor's good recent record away against Nice.
However, Forebet predicts that the visitors boss will suffer more disappointment, with the home side grabbing a victory in a high scoring clash.
