Two of the top six teams in the K-League meet on Tuesday morning (GMT) as Gangwon FC Host Sangju Sangmu at the Chuncheon Songam Stadium.
Gangwon are enjoying a solid campaign in the South Korean top-flight, as they are currently fifth place in the table and are three points clear of the sixth-place visitors, as both attempt to clinch a spot in the Championship group.
The home side are currently on an unbeaten run of five games in the K-League, after drawing 2-2 away at Seoul last time out. The result in Seoul means that both teams have scored in Gangwon’s last six league outings, while five of their last six K-League games have produced over 2.5 goals.
Despite their really lofty position in the table, Gangwon have struggled for wins of late on home soil, as they have suffered five defeats in their last seven home outings in the K-League.
The home sides biggest recent problem on home soil has been keeping the opposition out, as they have now conceded at least twice in five of their last seven league games.
Sangju Sangmu are hanging onto that final spot in the Championship group after a poor recent run of form that has yielded just one win in their last five league outings.
Their recent outings have been relatively low-scoring, tight affairs in the league, which really could have gone either way, as four of their last five matches have produced under 2.5 goals.
Sangju have not been the greatest of travellers in the K-League of late, winning just two of their last eight matches on their travels, while losing three of their last four away games in the South Korean top-flight.
The home side are definitely the form side heading into this clash. Therefore, it is no surprise that Forebet predicts that Gangwon will come out on top in a high-scoring clash.
