It’s already become a season to forget for QPR but their 2-0 loss away at Derby County piled further misery on the London club who have dropped down to 19th place in the Championship following recent back-to-back defeats to Blackburn Rovers and Derby County.

QPR’s only highlights from their last 20 matches overall in the Championship were wins against Leeds United 1-0 and a 4-0 thrashing of Swansea City, but otherwise, it’s been yet another season of mediocrity and unfulfilled promise for the R’s fans.

The aforementioned wins against Leeds and Swansea were both registered at Loftus Road but they’ve been rare flashes of QPR’s promise, and the hosts have lost 6 of their last 9 matches at home, and it looks like the players can’t wait for their season to be over.

Despite their problems though, QPR’s matches have seen a fair few goals scored along the way, and this is underlined by the fact that 14 of their 22 home matches to date have resulted in over 2.5 goals.

QPR’s forward quartet of Hemed, Freeman, Smith and Wells still need to be respected despite the poor results of late.

Nottingham Forest ended their own miserable sequence of results in the Championship on Easter Monday when they recorded a convincing 3-0 home win over play-off hopefuls, Middlesbrough, which was a very much needed win for messrs O’Neill and Keane following four defeats on the trot.

Recent losses to Rotherham United, Sheffield Wednesday, Blackburn Rovers and Sheffield United helped extinguish any lingering hopes that Forest may have had of nicking a top six finish in the Championship, as their season has also fizzled out after showing promise.

Results away from home has been Nottingham Forest’s achilles heel though this season as they’ve managed just three away wins all season, and they head down to the nation’s capital to face QPR on the back of a worrying 13-match run without a win on their travels.

Midfielder Cash (6 goals) along with forwards Grabban (16 goals), Lolley (10 goals) and Murphy (4 goals) look the most likely to score for the visitors who have also acquired the services of Wolves striker, Bonatini.

QPR will want to sign off at Loftus Road with a win while Nottingham Forest will be looking to build upon their recent win over Middlesbrough here. It should be an open game with a few goals.
