The upcoming Champions League semi-final could prove to be a distraction for Tottenham Hotspur as the players will not want to pick up any injuries ahead of that huge game. Premier League form has improved up in recent weeks however and they have won three of their last four matches.
All three wins have come at home and trends show Tottenham Hotspur have won six and drawn one of their last seven home Premier League games. They have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three and are yet to concede a goal when playing in the Premier League at their new stadium.
West Ham’s season seems to be drifting towards a mediocre conclusion. They find themselves 11th in the table and have failed to win any of their last four Premier League games. There have been defeats against Everton at home and Chelsea and Manchester United away. Last week they picked up a point in a 2-2 home draw against Leicester City.
Away form has been terrible for West Ham and trends show they have lost eight and drawn one of their last nine away matches in all competitions. Seven of those defeats have come in the Premier League and include the last four games.
West Ham have conceded 2 more goals in seven of their last nine away matches and have failed to score themselves in the three of the last four.
Team news and Tottenham Hotspur may make some changes ahead of the Champions League. Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks, Harry Kane and Serge Aurier are not expected to play any part in the game.
West Ham have had injury problems all season and they continue into this game. Andy Carroll, Andriy Yarmolenko and Winston Reid are among those to definitely miss out for the Hammers. Javier Hernandez, Samir Nasri and Manuel Lanzini could return to action.
The only real danger to Spurs in this game is if their minds switch to the match against Ajax. West Ham are poor on the road while Tottenham have been winning matches at home and this should be another 3 points for the hosts.
