Ecuador and Mexico battle it out in the third and final group stage game of Group B this Sunday, and Forebet has grouped together the latest trends, data, analysis, mathematics and probability of winning for these final group stage football predictions.

Mexico, who will be one of the hosts for the World Cup in a few years time, have not started well in their preparations for doing so.

They now head into the final group stage game with Ecuador outside of the top two automatic knockout qualification places.

Last time out, Mexico lost 1-0 to Venezuela after Salomon Rondon scored a penalty in the second half of the game, as Mexico had just five shots on target and 18 efforts towards goal, in contrast to the two shots on target from Venezuela and 10 efforts on goal as well. Mexico also had 62% of the ball possession.

Before this, however, Mexico did manage to get a win on the board and give themselves hopes of getting into the next round.

This victory saw them defeat Jamaica thanks to a finish from Gerado Arteaga, as the Mexicans had 20 shots on goal and also had nine efforts on target as well. They also had 62% of the ball.

The form at these group stages at Copa America is a reflection of how things have gone in the past few months for Mexico.

Prior to these finals, they suffered a 3-2 loss to Brazil and were battered 4-0 by Uruguay before this as well in what were warm up games for the Copa America. They did also get a a win over Bolivia, however, where Efrain Alvarez scored in the second half.

Ecuador, on the other hand, are only ahead of Mexico on goals difference after they put in the same results as Mexico so far by winning and drawing.

Ecuador also got a win over Jamaica in Group B, as Piero Hincapie scored in the first half for them.

Kendry Paez also got a goal from the penalty spot in the first half, as Alan Minda netted in stoppage time as well. Ecuador had a total of four shots on target in that game from an impressive 24 shots.

In the opening game, however, Ecuador lost to Venezuela in a match that saw Jeremy Sarmiento score in the first half, as Enner Valencia got his first-ever red card for his country in the first half too.

Forebet predicts a draw and under 2.5 goals in this game.
